Please note these classes are for children in preschool/nursery and aged 2 and a half upwards and toilet trained. Please be aware that no parents will be allowed into the class. Parents must either wait in the reception area or feel free to go away and come back.

- Do you do shows/performances?
Yes, all of our students have the opportunity to be a part of our annual performances. There are no additional classes required to do this, and show work will be worked on during our weekly classes. There may be additional rehearsals required near showtime for extra practice.

- Do you support children with ASN?
We aim to be as inclusive as possible at our school. It is important for parents and carers to disclose on enrolment, anything they think we may need to know in order to support your child.

- Why can't I come into class with my child?
We completely understand that starting something new — especially in a new environment — can feel overwhelming, particularly for our younger students. It’s not uncommon for children to feel a little unsure at first, and we know how hard it can be as a parent to see those first-day tears.

However, we also believe in encouraging independence by setting clear routines from the beginning. This helps children build confidence and feel secure in their new setting. We've found that having parents in the room, while well-intentioned, can sometimes make the settling process harder for the whole class.

Please rest assured that your child is in very capable hands. Our staff are highly trained and experienced in supporting children through this transition, using tried-and-true methods to help them feel at ease. A few tears are completely normal during the first couple of weeks, but our team will be right there to offer comfort, care, and encouragement every step of the way.

- Why are trials 2 weeks long?
We don’t believe just one week is long enough to experience our classes. It can be a huge achievement coming to a new class and 2 week trials allow students to feel more comfortable and understand each area of our class, meet their new class mates and teachers/coaches before deciding if they would like to continue.

- What happens after the 2 week trial?
After the second trial is completed, you will receive an email from Class 4 Kids to sign up to classes if you wish to continue. Fees are taken from your account on the 1st of the month. Any fees not paid on the 1st of the month will incur a £10 late payment fee. Our fees are pro rata – the total cost of classes is split across 10 monthly payments. Cancellation policy – we require one month’s written notice along with one final full fee payment for cancellation.

- Sign up Fee & Annual Membership Fee.
When you first join our classes, there’s a one-time sign-up fee of £15. This happens only once, when you first join us. After that, every September, there’s a small annual membership fee of £5. This applies to everyone in the school, whether you’re new or have been with us for a while.

- How do I keep up with dance information?
It’s crucial for dance parents and guardians to stay updated by carefully reading the weekly email, which is out every Monday at 5pm and posted “Members Only Facebook Group”. This ensures that everyone is informed about any announcements, schedules, or changes related to classes.

- Does my child have to wear a uniform?
On enrolling and/or after experiencing our trial classes, it is compulsory for all students to wear our Gillian Easdale School of Dance uniform to all classes. Our Uniform List is available on request, and will also be sent on completion of trial and point of enrolment. Uniform is mandatory for student safety.
